About Us

We are excited to share our news! We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Nevada and saw a need in our community for another resource and option for those wishing to find a home for domestic cats/kittens that need to be re-homed for whatever reason. We created Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions to serve that need.

Our Vision:

Homeward Bound envisions a community in which no pet owner is forced to make a choice to abandon an unwanted cat or kitten or relinquish the pet to a kill shelter.

Our Mission:  

Offer the community the option of placing for adoption domestic cats/kittens that need to be re-homed for whatever reason.Operate adoption centers that provide the community with a selection of healthy spayed/neutered cats available for adoption.Establish a network of reliable and loving foster homes to provide temporary care for cats and kittens awaiting adoption. Create a facility in which we care for relinquished cats while we evaluate their behavior, temperament, health condition and any special needs they may have prior to placing them in an adoption center. Obtain a van for mobile adoptions and fund raising events. Reduce the number of domestic cats that are abandoned, euthanized, or placed in local kill shelters.Educate our community on the responsibility to spay/neuter pets.

We have a handful of foster homes that house, feed, and care for cats and kittens until they are ready for adoption at PetSmart Adoption Centers. We adopt out only spayed and neutered cats and kittens, therefore all kittens are held in foster homes until they are approximately 13 weeks old.

We are eager to move forward to work in synergy with all members of the community dedicated to animal welfare.
