Do you love cats and kittens but don't want to keep them forever?

Do you have an extra room in your home you could share with a homeless kitty?

If yes, then fostering is for you!

Fostering takes up a small space in your house but a huge space in your heart. While it may be hard at first to return the kitty to Homeward Bound at the end of your foster time, the rewards are priceless. You'll have given kittens their first experience in feeling LOVE. Adult cats will know that in your home they were protected from the crazy weather in Las Vegas and always felt SAFE in your care. Nursing mommy cats won't have to worry about getting something to eat while she nurses her babies. Best of all, you'll have the opportunity to interview and pick the family that falls in love with your foster kitty.

Getting started is easy ... it can be as simple as converting your spare guestroom to an instant kitten nursery, socializing a kitty that is always scared at the adoption center, or donating the sunroom to an aging cat that just needs a little R&R.

Foster kitties integrate with your existing family, both animal and human. It’s an ideal way to teach your children about the miracle of birth or a lesson in compassion when comforting a sick kitty.

Then visit us at our two PetSmart Adoption Centers (Craig/MLK and Eastern/Russell) on Saturdays or Sundays for a formal interview, and you'll be on your way to making a difference in the life of a kitty.

We have less than 10 active fosters, and kitten season is May - August!
