Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a non-profit charitable corporation that offers a resource for those wishing to find homes for domestic cats/kittens needing to be re-homed. Our mission is to reduce the number of tame cats that are abandoned, euthanized, or placed in local shelters. We envision a community in which no pet owner is forced to make a choice to abandon an unwanted cat or kitten or relinquish the pet to a kill shelter.

In order to help as many cats as possible, we have established guidelines for the intake of animals:

Foundlings and Strays

A minimum donation of $40 per cat is requested. The requested donation for a litter of kittens (with or without the momma) is $25 per cat/kitten. Your donation helps cover costs of FeLV/FIV testing, vaccinations, and spayed/neuter. Your donation is tax deductible.If space allows, you may release the cat(s) to our program to be placed in an adoption center or foster home. Or you may foster the cat(s) until they are adopted or space opens up in our program. If you choose to foster, we will provide vet care, including spay or neuter. You will be responsible for bringing the cat(s) to a designated adoption center on assigned weekends to be showcased for the weekend until they are adopted out. Showcase hours are 11:00 a.m. Saturday until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. You will continue to foster your cat(s) during the week until they are re-homed or space opens up in our program.

Owner Assist

Owner Assist is when you have cat(s) that you need to re-home. Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions can assist you in the following ways:

Cat(s) must be combo tested, up to date on shots, spayed/neutered and in good health (including dental health). We will require a letter from your vet with this information. Provided cat(s) are up to date on shots and spayed/neutered there is no fee for Owner Assisted re-homing. Adoption fees paid by the new owner will belong to Homeward Bound.We will provide you with weekend showcase space (when available) at one of our Adoption Centers to showcase your cat(s) on assigned weekends until they are adopted. Showcase hours are 11:00 a.m. Saturday until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. You will continue to house your cat(s) during the week until they are re-homed.

Owner Surrender

Owner Surrender is when you have an animal that you can no longer keep and need to re-home but have run out of time/options. Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions can assist you in the following ways:

Cat(s) must be FeLV/FIV tested, up to date on shots, spayed/neutered and in good health (including dental health). We require written verification from your vet with this information. If verification of the items above is not possible, a minimum donation of $40 per cat is requested. The requested donation for a litter of kittens (with or without the momma) is $25 per cat/kitten. We will foster your cat(s) until they can be re-homed or placed in one of our adoption centers.
