2008 Pet-a-Palooza

What an awesome community Homeward Bound is blessed with! On a gorgeous (but windy) April day CBS affilate 94.1FM hosted its 9th annual Pet-a-Palooza. Although we didn't take any kitties for adoption we unvieled our new Faces of Love program and virtually adopted out 6 of the 10 kitties we were featuring. We'll be back next year with lots of volunteers and kitties ready to go home!

Honor Your Pet's Vet Program

In recognition of National Doctors' Day, we unvieled our Honor your Pet's Vet Program and sent cats to all the vets whose names were sent to us by their pet's parents. 12 cards went out locally and 3 to out of state vets. Have a great vet? Send us their info early for next year's mailing!

2008 Happy Paws Pet Expo

Homeward Bound showcased their programs and services at their first ever public event on February 1 & 2 at Cashman Field. Thanks to show management, we had a great booth in the first aisle and over 100 visitors came through and entered to win one of two prizes ... a cat basket and a dog basket each of which included a free ticket to PETopoly! We'll definitely be back next time.

Santa Claws Came to (PetSmart) Town in December!

What a great December for Homeward Bound kitties. Lots of people and a variety of pets came to PetSmart on December 1&2, December 8&9, and December 15&16, 2007 to get their photos taken with Santa.

We had dogs, cats, rabbits, and even some kids smiled big for the camera. This festive event raised over $1,000 for the homeless kitties waiting for their 'fur-ever' homes at the PetSmart Adoption Centers and in Homeward Bound's foster care

Thanks to all who made this possible, especially UNLV students, PetSmart employees on their own time, and friends and family.

"Lightning" (pictured) asked Santa for a new home for Christmas and she got her wish!

Winter Wish Tree

Thank you Clark County ... our Spring Wish Tree is barely up and we're still getting wishes from our Winter Wish Tree. We estimate we received over $700 in donated products from PetSmart's awesome shoppers.
