Update on Disney's

"Give a Day, Get a Disney Day"

Since we signed up in early February we have met some

wonderful volunteers - some who even have gone above and

beyond to help Homeward Bound kitties.

Now that the program is ending we wanted to give everyone

some estimated numbers to think about:

45 volunteers signed up to help at the Adoption Centers,

37 volunteers signed up to do laundry,

21 volunteers signed up to make telephone calls,

and (DRUMROLL)

863 volunteers signed up to donate handmade blankets for kitties

so HUNDREDS of blankets poured in from as far as SLC, Mesquite, and Pahrump.

Those that didn't meet our guidelines were donated in turn

to other area rescues so everyone ultimately won!

On Valentine's Day weekend we had a bake sale to raise money for our special needs kitties. We had 227 volunteers sign up to bake sweets and treats and we raised almost $800!

Leftovers were donated in turn to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
