Saving a Life Will Change Yours

Adopt A Cat!

Because adopting a cat or kitten, or any other pet, is a serious decision, Homeward Bound has adoption counselors trained to assist you with finding the perfect lifetime companion. They will help you get to know your prospective new feline friend, answer questions, and provide information about cat behavior and care.

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions believes cat ownership is a moral, physical and financial responsibility.

Our questionnaire is designed to help place our animals in the best possible homes and guide our conversation about adoption. Please complete the adoption form prior to visiting and allow for 24-48 hours for processing.

PETCO

ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Our youngest kittens go fast, so we are unable to list them all here. You will be able to choose from available kittens at your Petco appointment. Please complete the adoption form and allow 24-48 hours for processing. We will call you about scheduling an appointment. If you do not hear from us, please give us a call at 702-329-9771 to ensure that we received it. Petco will have mainly kittens, with a few young adults from time to time. Adults are located at the adoption center. If you wish to meet our available kittens, please follow the steps below. Please note that an appointment is not a guarantee of adoption, as you will meet with an adoption counselor in person at Petco.

  • The adoption form must be completed in advance.
  • An adoption counselor will call you for a brief interview before scheduling an appointment time for you to meet the kittens at Petco.
  • Print your adoption form and bring it to your appointment.
  • Bring a cat carrier with you to take your new family member home.

Our Petco storefront is located at 2340 E Serene Ave. We are there Saturdays and Sundays, from 11 am to 4 pm, with exceptions as the kitten population changes, or if we do not currently have kittens for adoption.

WHICH CAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Kittens:  Kittens are very active.  We want our kittens to grow up in homes where they will have the companionship of family members or other pets throughout most days.  Some kittens are bonded with littermates and depend on a companion kitten in order to feel safe and confident.  That’s why we discount the adoption fee for two kittens adopted together.

Young Adults: Many of the younger adults are playful and active, and thrive in the companionship of other cats.  Please consider adopting in pairs.

Mature Adults: Usually less active than the youngsters.  Some like kitty companionship.  Others prefer to be only pets.

Senior Cats: Many were left homeless when their owners passed away. Mend a heart and gain a forever friend.

Special Needs Cats: As a no-kill organization, we care for cats with special physical, health or behavioral issues. You may find warmth and gratitude in these special cats as you enrich their lives.
